R. Avishai David, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivat Torat Shraga, published a book in 2011 entitled, Darosh Darash Yosef: Discourses of Rav Yosef Dov Halevi Soloveitchik on the Weekly Parashah, based primarily upon insights shared by the Rav in his Boston Motzoai Shabbat Shiurim.
In his essay for Parashat VaYetze, “VaYetze: A Difficult Departure,” R. David notes how the Rav first extols the spiritual virtues established by Avraham in Be’er Sheva by drawing attention to the unique phrase associated with it:
Beraishit 21:33
And Avraham planted a tamarisk-tree in Be’er Sheva, and called there on the Name of the LORD, the Everlasting God.
