Amnon Bazak’s 2nd Devar Tora for Parashat BeChukotai, “HaAretz VeHaAm” (Nekudat Peticha: Iyunim Ketzarim BePeshuta Shel Parashat HaShavua, [revised and expanded], Yediot Acharonot, Rishon LeTziyon, 2018, pp. 284-5), he wonders why over the course of the Tochecha, two Covenants are mentioned: a) the Covenant with the Forefathers, i.e., Avraham, Yitzchak, and Yaakov, and b) the Covenant that God Entered into with the Jewish people, after the Exodus from Egypt.
